Hello Everyone,
Hope you all are doing well!
Every once in a while, there's one skincare product that suddenly takes over Instagram. Every other reel, every skincare creator, and almost every influencer seems to be talking about it. Before you know it, you start wondering, "Is it really that good, or is it just another social media trend?"
That's exactly how I felt when I first came across the
Hyphen Double Shot Radiance-Lift Serum. I'd just finished my Derma Co Vitamin C
Serum and was looking for something to replace it, and around the same time my
feed was flooded with reviews of this one. After seeing it everywhere for
weeks, I finally caved and bought it, expecting another overhyped product.
But sometimes a product actually lives up to the hype.
I've finished a whole bottle and I'm already on my second one, which says a
lot, since I rarely repurchase skincare unless it genuinely works for my skin.
About Hyphen Double Shot Radiance-Lift Serum:
Two Serums in One Bottle
Hyphen Double Shot Radiance-Lift Serum is a dual-phase serum that combines two different formulas in one bottle. Rather than just brightening or just targeting anti-ageing, it goes after dullness, uneven tone, dehydration, and early signs of ageing together. The water-based layer brightens and hydrates; the oil-based layer nourishes the skin and supports collagen production.
According to the brand, this serum helps to:
- Brighten
dull skin
- Improve
overall skin radiance
- Fade
the appearance of dark spots
- Support
collagen production
- Give
the skin a firmer, lifted appearance
- Deeply
hydrate the skin
- Improve
overall skin texture
- Suitable
for all skin types
Since this is a dual-phase serum, shake the bottle well before every use so both layers blend together.
For oily and combination skin: apply 1-2 pumps on a
clean face and neck, massage gently until absorbed, and follow with sunscreen
during the daytime.
For normal to dry skin: apply 2-3 pumps on a clean
face and neck, massage gently until absorbed, then follow with a moisturizer
and sunscreen.
- 11% Mandarin Extract – a natural source of Vitamin C that brightens dull skin while protecting
it from environmental damage.
- 5% Niacinamide – improves uneven skin tone, reduces the appearance of dark spots,
minimizes pores, and strengthens the skin barrier.
- 2% Polyglutamic Acid – a hydrating ingredient that helps skin retain moisture and look plump.
- Cica Stem Cell – supports the skin's natural renewal process and improves its appearance over time.
- 20% Lift-Up Shot, which contains:
1. Bakuchiol — a gentle plant-based alternative to retinol that improves firmness and the look of fine lines.
2. Rosehip Oil — nourishes the skin and supports renewal
3. Coco-Caprylate — lightweight moisturization without the greasy feel
The packaging stands out. It's a frosted glass bottle with a bright
yellow cap, and since it's dual-phase, you can actually see the two separate
layers before shaking the bottle. It also comes with a pump dispenser, which
makes it hygienic and travel-friendly.
Before shaking, the serum sits in two visible layers. After a quick shake, it turns into a lightweight, silky formula that spreads easily. It absorbs fast and doesn't leave a sticky residue. It has nourishing oils in it, but it never felt greasy on my dry skin.
I didn't buy this because I'd compared dozens of products or researched every ingredient. I bought it because it was everywhere on Instagram, and I figured I'd see what the fuss was about.
It worked gradually rather than overnight. The changes
weren't dramatic after a few days, but with consistent morning use for over a
month, I started noticing real improvements — my skin looked healthier,
brighter, and more even-toned. The dullness eased up, my skin felt smoother,
and my complexion started looking fresher overall.
What I loved most was how comfortable it feels on the
skin. Once mixed, the texture is silky and lightweight. It spreads easily,
absorbs within seconds, and doesn't leave any sticky or greasy residue behind.
Just 2-3 pumps cover my entire face and neck, so a little goes a long way, and
it kept my skin hydrated from morning till evening.
For my dry skin, it's close to a moisture elixir. It
layers beautifully under moisturizer and sunscreen, and sits under makeup
without pilling or feeling heavy — something I always notice as a makeup
artist, because skincare can make or break the final makeup look.
It also never irritated my skin. No redness, no
breakouts, no discomfort, even with regular use.
By the time I finished my first bottle, I'd already ordered the second one. That's probably the biggest compliment I can give any skincare product.

Are There Any Side Effects?
Personally, I didn't experience any irritation, redness, or breakouts. It blended in well with the rest of my routine. If you have very sensitive skin or are trying active ingredients for the first time, a patch test is always a good idea.
