My Papa - My Inspiration!

Almost everyone has a role model in their life.  They could be your parent, friend, writer, actor, sports person, or maybe an influencer.  Anyone at some point in time may inspire us depending on their unique qualities.

A role model can be different for everyone and for me it’s my papa (dad) or I would rather say, my parents.  They never told me or my siblings how to live in every situation; in fact, they lived and let us watch them doing it.  They had to make sacrifices while we were growing up.  They have done so much for us that I can’t even pen-down all the things over here.  I will really run out of words to pen my feelings of love and respect that I have for my parents.

I can’t even thank them enough and no one can either for what parents do and did for us, but still, I would like to take the opportunity to thank them.  I would like to thank them for not only giving me this beautiful life but for making it worth living; for not only giving me love but making it unconditional.  There are no words in the universe that could describe their selfless love and care.  I will always be grateful for hammering those ethics, morals, values, mannerisms, and principles that they have given me.  These are the important lifetime lessons that have shaped my life in its entirety.  I attribute much of who I am as a person to my parents.

My Papa (dad) is personally a writer and I give him credit for instilling the same spirit of writing in me.  He has been writing for his whole life.  He has composed countless articles, edited numerous books, and translated a number of books so far. He used to write “ghazals” (an Arabic poetry) too.  The prejudication in the world, the battle people are fighting within their soul, and the thoughts and emotions of his own are the things that make his pen writes words full of wonders.

He has always been my source of inspiration when it comes to writing and of course for everything I do in life.  He is always been there for me through thick and thin.  He has been my idol so everything that you see in my writing, it’s all because of him.  He is the sole reason that I can call myself a blogger today.  His acceptance of my writing skills was a sign for me that I was doing something good, that I was on the right path and things have been going well with my blog now.

My papa (dad) always says that “if you can read and learn then you can become anything you want to” and “you can’t do anything if you fear the failure.”  He always encourages me and has taught me that with enough determination in what you do; you can definitely create something out of nothing.  My papa's never-give-up attitude has always stayed with me.  Every one of us has the power within us to overcome adversity and come out stronger on the other side.

Just like a floret would never bloom without the elements that surround it, I would never have grown like this without you, Papa.  I may not always express my love for you, but I do love you and you mean so much to me.  And, I am really sorry for the times I have hurt you and taken you for granted, I really am.  But hopefully, I can make up for it.

On this Father’s Day, I would like to give a tribute to all the fathers out there, especially mine by sharing one of his small written piece of work which is in Hindi.

Let me know how you like the “ghazal?”  What’s your dad model for you? What did he teach you? How has he impacted you?  I would love to hear your inputs.

Wishing all the Dads a very special Father's Day.

Stay Blessed, Be Happy..!! :-)
