Britain Award For Mix-Niche Blog – My Fourth Award Nomination!

Hello Everyone,

This post is pretty late, but a couple of weeks ago, at the end the year, I received the notification that Scenario of Life was rewarded for the Britain blog award.  Since it was the beginning of the New Year following the New Year’s Eve, these days were the busy days for me, so I decided to let this alone for that moment and just decided to shout out to Erika Barbosa for taking the time to check out my website and nominating it.

I am really honored to receive this award, especially since I am new to the blogosphere.  I always love getting tagged for such awards.  It's wonderful and encouraging at the same time to see that other bloggers recognize my work.  Erika from California, herself is a new blogger, so it’s great to be rewarded by a peer.   She has an amazing blog, too (by that I mean I have an amazing blog as well ;-) ) which is named as “Unapologetically Erika.”  And one of my favorite posts of her is “Hi, I’m Erika. I’m an Addict.”  In your spare time, do check out her blog.

“The Britain Blog Award- for Mix-Niche Blogs” is an online award that is given to blogger by other bloggers.  The goal of this award is to bring recognition to mix-niche blogs, meaning to recognize the blogs that cover a little bit of everything.  It’s an opportunity for bloggers to recognize one another for each of our contributions to the blogging community!

Want to know more about the Britain award? Click here.

Here are my responses to Erika’s posed questions:

1.  What made you want to start blogging?
My interest or maybe passion for writing.  I have been writing poems since my teenage and it's been a decade now.  Though I haven't wrote one for a long time and I ought to pick up doing that again.  I first got in contact with this type of literature when finding my papa’s (dad) collection of ghazals.  And my papa inspired me to start blogging too.  Read the full story here.

2.  What are some goals for your blog?
Well, I haven’t set up any big goals for my blog as of now, but yeah I have some goals that are pretty easy to accomplish and those are to serve my existing readers, to attract new audience, to reach out to as many people as I can with my contents and making my subscriber list.  That way I have small goals that I can focus on every day.

3.  Who are some of your favorite writers and why?
There are number of writers who I like and I can’t enlist all of them here, but yeah I would definitely like to mention the two and one of them is my papa (dad) of course.  He is a journalist for almost 3 decades now; he has composed countless articles, edited numerous books, and translated a number of books so far.  He used to write “ghazals” (an Arabic poetry) too.  I grew up reading his write-ups.  He is my inspiration for my writing and of course for everything I do in life.  The other one I would say Nicholas Sparks because he is one of the innovative writer and I love his ability to take the readers inside the heads and emotions of the characters.

4.  What is your motto?
This is something that I would like to keep to myself only.  So, I am sorry!

5.  What is the best movie you have seen this year?
I personally like to watch love stories, but the best movie that I have seen last year (I haven’t seen any movie this year as of yet) was “Hindi Medium” which is an Indian comedy-drama movie.  This movie deals with a pertinent subject of how language divides the Indian society.

My favorite posts made on my blog so far:

It’s quite difficult to pick just few of them because I love all the posts that I have composed so far, but as I have to list 4 posts only as per the award rules so those are:

This list of nominees is in no particular order:

3.  What do you do when you get writer’s block?

Sunshine Blogger Award – My Third Award Nomination!

Hello Everyone,

This is an unscheduled and unexpected post, but I am so excited to let you all know that this is my time to shine!

I began today like I begin most things.  I opened up my website dashboard this morning and as I was reviewing my site comments, things have been slow, I was excited to see a new comment, and even more so when I saw that ‎Michelle Logiudice from California‎, notified me that she has chosen me as 1 of her 6 nominees for this award.  The honor came as a wonderful surprise as this is the second time Scenario of Life has been nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award and while I am thrilled, I just thought to shout out to both my nominators this time.  My blog was first nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award by Jasmine from Texas.  I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Jasmine and Michelle for nominating my blog for this award.

Jasmine is a lifestyle blogger at RISE AND BLOSSOM where she blogs about lifestyle, mental health, and young parenthood.  Michelle is also a lifestyle blogger at mymommabearlife, where she blogs about lifestyle, disease processes, natural treatments and DIYs recipes.

Unlike Liebster Blog Award, the Sunshine Blogger Award is given to bloggers by other bloggers who are “creative, positive, and inspiring.”  This award is an online award and when one receives this, it means “the blog inspires their readers and gives a bit of happiness too.  So, receiving this is such an honor.

I personally love these blogger awards because they are given to you by those who are bloggers themselves so they understand the amount of work that goes into blogging and building a website and they appreciate your content even more.

Once you have been nominated you are given a set of questions to answer and then you get to "pass it on" to other bloggers that you admire.

Without further ado, let’s get into the nitty-gritty.

Here are my responses to Michelle’s posed questions:

1.  What is the toughest part of blogging for you?
Blogging is not just writing an article.  It’s more than that.  Being a blogger you have to be consistent with your posts.  Along with that, you need to manage all the social accounts and promotions.  So with a full-time job, the toughest part of blogging for me is managing the time for it.

2.  What is the most enjoyable part?
The most enjoyable part of blogging is expressing my thoughts and sharing opinions with others, being able to be creative with words and ideas.  And seeing people liking your work and falling in love with something you created is such a great encouragement.

3.  Is there something that keeps you going through tough times?
A family is the biggest support system one can ever have and in addition to that, it’s a faith that keeps me going through tough times.

4.  What’s your favorite quote?
Well, it’s quite difficult to have a “favorite quote” as there are so many good ones.  But just to answer your question, I would like to quote one here and it’s by “Robert Frost.”
"In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on."
5.  What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten?
I was born and raised as a vegetarian (and will stick to it till my last breath), so some of my friends think everything I eat is weird.

6.  Besides blogging, what else do you enjoy?
I like listening music, dancing, being photographed, hanging out with friends and family and the list goes on.

7.  Would you rather fly or sail somewhere?
I would love to sail in a warm weather someday and arrive on some beautiful shore.

8.  Who do you admire most and why?
I admire my family a lot because they are very special to me.  They taught me about respect, values, and morals.  They always have my back no matter what.

9.  Are you an Apple or an Android person?
I am an Android girl.  Android offers much better apps and their phone cameras are also much better!  I do appreciate Apple, but I don’t consider myself as their fan.

10.  What inspires you?
There are certain things and people who ignite the latent potential within you.  There are numerous things that inspire me - be it stories I read, music I listen, life-changing movies I watch, and random people I meet.  And of course, my family inspires me to be the best I can be and to never give up.

11.  Is this your first blogging award?
No, this is my “third different award”.  I have been nominated for Liebster Blog Award 4 times and Blogger Recognition Awards 5 times though I haven’t written a post for all of them.
Here are the links to those post if you would like to check them out.

Here are my responses to Jasmine’s posed questions:

1.  When and why did you start blogging?
I started blogging three and half months back in August 2017.  I use to writes poems so my dad and sisters suggested that I should start a blog.  My dad inspired me for the same and hence I am here.  Want to know the story behind it? Please click here to read more.

2.  What is the boldest choice you’ve ever made?
Focusing on me and it has made an enormous difference to my personal growth and well-being.  And when it comes to blogging, I would say “writing about my child abuse” was the boldest choice I’ve made.

3.  Who is your idol?
My dad is my idol and inspiration when it comes to writing.

4.  If you could invent a holiday, what would it be? How would people celebrate?
I would invent a day called “Feed the Poor/Hungry day” and as the name goes people would celebrate it by feeding the poor and hungry people.

5.  What is the story behind your blog niche?
Please click here to read the story.

6.  Tell us about a book that made an impact on your life
Well, there is no such book that I have read made a big impact, but there are a number of books that brought tears to my eyes.

7.  Describe your ideal perfect day
Waking up, having breakfast, doing house chores, doing office work (from home), lunch in between, evening snacks; at the end of it, having dinner.  And of course, meanwhile all the casual fun with family and managing my time for all the blogging stuff.

8.  If you could switch lives with a TV/movie character, who would it be and why?
I would like to skip this question.  Can I please?

9.  What are 5 things you would bury in a time capsule?
A smartphone with its manual, special fun time photos, a book, a CD of my favorite music; and a little-handwritten note to the person who opens the “time capsule”, wishing them good fortune.

10. Show us the most unusual thing you own. Don’t explain why.
Well, I am actually not sure if I have anything which is unusual.

11. How different is your life from one year ago?
I made good memories with my family and friends that I really want to remember as something wonderful.  I realized how short life is and negative things will continue to happen, so it's important to try not to worry about what may happen; instead, enjoy the life to the fullest.

The Liebster Award 2017 - Another Nomination!

Hey People,

I have been fortunate enough to receive not one, but two nominations for the Liebster Award again.  If you have gone through my previous Liebster award nomination post, you must have a better understanding on what the Liebster award is about.  And if you haven't read that yet, don’t worry, I will tell you what it is.

The Liebster award (Global Aussie Liebster Award) is an online award given by bloggers to other bloggers that helps to spread the love and this is how bloggers acknowledge other bloggers they think are fabulous.  Once you have been nominated, you are given a set of questions to answer and then you get to "pass it on" to other bloggers.

Liebster is a German word which means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome.

Shout out to “Willjohn Zoleta” and “Sravanya” and big thanks for taking the time to check out my site and nominate me.  I am so excited and honored to receive these nominations again.  Willjohn Zoleta loves to travel.  He has visited about 35 countries so far.  His travel blog “Adventurous Will” provides insights into the countries he visits.  On the other hand, Sravanya is crazy about makeup and shopping.  Her blog “Hyderabad Beauty Blog” is related to beauty, health, and Fashion where she reviews products and gives health tips.

Blogger Recognition Award 2017 – My Second Award Nomination!

Hey Everyone,

"It's my time to shine."  You may think what made me say so?

Well, I am super excited to announce that Scenario of Life has been nominated for the "Blogger Recognition Award."  It's not even been a month that I have launched this blog and I am getting fascinating surprises one after another.  Yeah! You heard it right.  In the very first week when I started blogging I received two nominations for "The Liebster Award" and it's the fourth week now and I am again nominated.  And this time it is the "Blogger Recognition Award."  Wow!  I am overwhelmed. :-)

As a newbie, it's really encouraging and it feels so great that not only my family and friends but also there are people worldwide who like to read this blog.  I am glad and would like to thank everyone for taking time out and reading my write up.  And when it's come to the blogging community, one thing I have noticed being a part of it is that it's incredibly supportive and this is one of the reasons I love being part of the blogging community and meeting people who share similar passions.

My blog, Scenario of Life, has been nominated by Mallami Adekunle at Lamlaminkings.  He stated, “I see how dedicated you are into blogging as well as sharing your experiences to the world; so you are well deserving of this recognition.”  Well, I am grateful for his kind words, this really means a lot.  My sincere and heartfelt thanks to Mallami for recognizing my work.  I am delighted. :-)

Mallami Adekunle is a pharmacology graduated and at his blog, he shares his experiences either through poetry or articles.  He loves writing poems, short stories and articles about life, social media, blogging and the happenings of his environment.  You can visit his blog here.

What is blogger recognition award?

Blogger Recognition Award is given to bloggers by bloggers to encourage and acknowledge the hard work and effort that goes into creating posts.  It’s an opportunity for bloggers to recognize one another for each of our contributions to the blogosphere.

How my blog started?

It's just that I got inspired by my dad and end up starting my blog.  Want to know the story behind it ? Please click here to read more.

Two pieces of advice for newbies:

Personally being a new blogger all I can advise is the following:

  • Don’t compare yourself to any other blogger out there, everyone has their own writing style, so just stick to your personality and write in that way only.  And yeah one can't be a star overnight so just be patience, “Success does not come easily,” even if it looks that way; it takes time and a lot of hard work too.
  • Be consistent towards the blog and have a designated day or days to post on your blog; that way people can know what day you will be posting next.  And get social as much as you can and of course promote your blog.

My Nominees:

I must admit it was not easy coming with the nominees, but finally, here it is:

Courtney Vanover at BackpackingRuffian
Lauren Najar (lsknersk) at Laugh Always
Ariel Huffaker at Different Frame of Mind
Arrey Bate at ARREY-B
Shamira Solana at Bebe Shamo
Naomi Djese at Naomi Djese
Dawnmarie Uebele Grack at Enjoying the Days
Morgan Isabella Shaw at Brains & Bodies
Princy Khurana at Sublime Messages
Emilia Cantero Dieguez at The Green Choice
Gina Bambinelli at Jet Set And Forget
Pauline Harley at challengeuchangeu
Kaibiganko Gayyemko at Gayyemko
Rajat Gaur at Gamer’s World
Sonam Sahid at Small Wonders of World

When you are nominated, there are few simple steps that you need to take to accept the award nomination and the guidelines are as follows:
  • Write a post to show your award.
  • Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
  • Give a brief story of how your blog started.
  • Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers.
  • Select 15 other bloggers to nominate.
  • Comment on each blog and let them know you have nominated them and provide the link to the post you created.

Congratulations to all my nominees, keep up the good work.  Once again many thanks to Mallami for recognizing my work and nominating Scenario of Life, I greatly appreciate it.

Fellow bloggers:  Have you been nominated for the award?  If so, leave me a link to your post! I’d love to read about it.

MY FIRST BLOGGING AWARD - The Liebster Award 2017

Hello Everyone,

I am so happy to share this wonderful moment with you all.  The great bloggers from far away, Australia and Pakistan, bumped into my blog, found it as latent and nominated it.  I have not had this blog for very long.  I launched “Scenario of Life” just 10 days ago and was fortunate enough to be nominated for The Liebster Award two times in a week.  Delighted!  Huge thanks to “team Patroni” and Mukarram Ali Qureshi for nominating me.  These are my very first nomination, so I really appreciate it.

John and Renee’s kind words:  Preeti, you deserved it.  Your blog looks great & has great potential.  This means a lot, John and Renee, for a newbie like me and I am so flattered.

John and Renee refer to themselves as “team Patroni”, they love to travel.  Their travel blog Drink, Eat, Ride provides great insights into beautiful destinations at the same time food and drinks into the countries they visit. Take a look at their blog here.

Mukarram Ali Qureshi is a person who is extremely interested in science.  And as his blog name goes A Scientific Perspective, he talks about science.  His blog covers science and its relationship with everything.  Take a look at his blog here.

I am so glad I have got to know John & Renee and Mukarram Ali Qureshi, which I would not have if I had not started this blog!

The Liebster award (Global Aussie Liebster Award) is an online award given by bloggers to other bloggers that helps to spread the love and this is how bloggers acknowledge other bloggers they think are fabulous and this award links blogs to each other in terms of an interview.  Also, it’s the nicest way to discover the new bloggers, who have potential, in the vast blogosphere.

Now, you must be wondering what does the word Liebster mean? so let me tell you that the word ‘liebster’ is a German word which means dearest, sweetheart, beloved, favorite.

Once you have been nominated you are given a set of questions to answer and then you get to "pass it on" to other bloggers that you admire.

Want to know more about the Liebster award? Click here.

Don’t forget to subscribe! I got a Liebster award twice.!!

My answers to John and Renee’s (my first nominator) posed questions:

1.  What do you enjoy most about blogging?
The most I enjoy about blogging is expressing my thoughts and sharing an opinion with others, being able to be creative with words and ideas.  Having a platform where you can connect with the outer world is the biggest blogging benefit I feel.

2.  What do you do when you get writer’s block?
Well, you must have read in my first post that I do poetry and yeah I get writer’s block a lot, I just can’t figure out the words to write, my creative juices just does not flow at times.  Then what I do.?  I don't write, I just do something else with my time, like listening to music, reading a book, surfing the internet or just spend time with my family and friends.

3.  Give a tip to other bloggers or potential blog starters:
Well, personally being a new blogger I don’t know if I can answer this question to the point, but still I would like to say that - don’t compare yourself to any other blogger out there, everyone has their own writing style, so just stick to your personality and write in that way only.  And yeah one cant be a star overnight so just be patience, “Success does not come easily,” even if it looks that way; it takes time and a lot of hard work too.

4.  Is blogging a full-time job for you?
No, blogging is not a full-time job for me.  But you never know, one day it might be.  I just do not know now.

5.  What has been your favorite country, why?
Can I skip the question, please? It's really tough to answer this one.

6.  If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would stay right where I am, my hometown.  My roots are here.  But, still, to answer your question, I would say Australia, maybe Sydney or Melbourne.

7.  Country or beach?
