Manna Kadar Glo Illuminator Review

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all are having a good time!

One of the ongoing and constant pursuits in the makeup world is to get that GLOW.  Highlighters are so in trend.  The beauty market is flooded with lots of different highlighters, shimmer bricks, and illuminators by which you can achieve the unparalleled glowing skin.  Highlighters help you to transform your looks in the blink of an eye, it enhances any of your looks instantly.  So on that note, I am here with one of the highlighters named as “Manna Kadar Glo Illuminator” which is a new addition in my vanity.

For those who don’t know about the brand “Manna Kadar,” it is an international luxury brand launched in 2012 by beauty guru Manna Kadar hailing from the city of Paris.

Let’s get right into the review.

Product Description:

What it claims?
Manna Kadar claims that the Glo Illuminator is an incandescent liquid that lights up the skin with all over radiance.  It is great for all skin types to provide a naturally luminous glow.

How it is used?
You can either mix it with your beauty products or can wear it alone to create a youthful glow and illuminizing finish- sheer genius.
(i).  Squeeze a little amount of product from the tube and mix it with your cream/foundation and apply all over your face.
(ii).  Squeeze out the product and directly apply it to your face and/or body if needed.

Composition:
Water (Aqua), Isononyl Isononanoate, Glycerin, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cyclohexasiloxane, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate Se, Steareth-20, Mica, Cetearyl Glucoside, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Sorbitan Olivate, Xanthan Gum, Ethylhexylglycerin, Talc, Alumina, Silica, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Tocopherol, Phenoxyethanol, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77499, CI 77492), Carmine (CI 75470).  Contain Carmine as a Color Additive.

First Look:
The illuminator comes handy in a soft plastic tube packaging with a nozzle tip and is peachy pinkish in color with a white colored screw cap.  The illuminator is lightweight and easy to squeeze.  Also, it is slightly transparent which helps to check the quantity of the product left in the tube.  Overall, the packaging is simple yet beautiful, quite girly, convenient and easy to travel with.

Texture and Consistency:
The illuminator has liquid, lotion-like consistency with visible fine shimmers in it which blends very well.  The product comes in a universal shade for all skin tones.

My Take:
I have received this “Manna Kadar Glo Illuminator” in one of my subscription boxes this month and I was thrilled to receive this.  C'mon let’s be honest, all a woman wants to do is to glow and I am one of them.  I was super excited to use and review this product.

This illuminator is slightly runny which is easy to spread and it blends well onto the skin.  A small amount of product goes a long way.  The formula of this illuminating liquid is light weighted and it has very fine shimmer which adds a very natural looking glow.  It is very gentle, doesn’t feel greasy onto my skin at all and it last for about 6-7 hours on my combination type of skin.  It has a slight smell to it which goes away in a couple of seconds.  I like applying a little bit of this illuminator to the top of my cheekbones for a soft and subtle glow.  You can even mix this with your BB cream, foundation, primer, etc. for all over radiant glow.  I did try using this product all over face by mixing it in with my BB cream as an illuminating base but it didn’t work for me.  The shimmer, though subtle, was noticeable especially in the areas around my eyes, inner cheeks, nose etc. so I personally would not like to wear it all over the face as an illuminating base, I would rather prefer something without visible shimmer.

Overall, it’s a great product that comes in a very warm peachy color which is quite sheer and works well with all skin tones out there.  It gives a very natural dewy, highlighted look and adds a soft shine to the skin that is beautiful.

Pros of Manna Kadar Glo Illuminator:
  • Cruelty-free.
  • Paraben free.
  • Blends well.
  • Quite hydrating.
  • Gives a subtle glow to the skin.
  • Doesn’t break me out.
  • Suitable for all skin types.
  • Travel-Friendly.

Cons of Manna Kadar Glo Illuminator:
  • Bit pricey.
  • Doesn’t work for glamorous looks.

Will I purchase it again?
Though I like this product, I am not looking forward to buying this because of its price.  I would rather buy some other highlighter in this price range.

Will I recommend it?
Well, if you don’t want a blinding glow highlighter and are looking for natural highlighters then you must try this product.  This is really a great pick.

Price:
It retails for Rs. 2100 ($29) for 20 mL.

Life of Product:
Twelve months.
